Dirt Drag Rules & Classes
GENERAL RULES
– Any announcement made the day of the event supersedes any and all written material.
– All racers participate at their own risk to themselves and their equipment.
– Vehicles and drivers must be able to perform safely on and off the track.
– Numbers will be assigned to each vehicle; there must be a place to write or attach the number and this number must remain visible throughout the entire event.
– Any class decisions made by officials during the registration period are final.
– Competition vehicles may be driven or trailered in.
– Each competitor is allowed 1 crew member vehicle in the pits; all others must park in the main parking area.
– Any decisions made by the official is final; including but not limited to, jumping the line, crossing the middle line, winner/loser of a race, unsafe race vehicle and/or driver, etc…
– NO ALCOHOL WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PIT AREA!!
– No coolers allowed on the fairgrounds.
– If a driver or crew member is found with alcohol in the pit area their vehicle will be disqualified.
– All racers must wear a DOT approved helmet; may be full or open faced.
– Drivers of any open compartment vehicle must wear long pants and closed toes boots.
– All racers must use a seatbelt.
– All participants in the modified class must have a working fire extinguisher with gauge in the cab.
– Batteries, fuel tanks, and radiator must be securely fastened and shielded from driver. Must not be in driver’s compartment.
– Firewalls and floors are mandatory.
– All vehicles must have tow hooks front and rear, or some form of safe place to tow a vehicle at the event of a break down.
– All vehicles must have SAFE front and rear bumpers.
– Fuel cells allowed in modified/open class. All fuel lines must be isolated from the driver’s compartment and the cell must be securely mounted.
– Vehicle must have working brakes and be able to stop safely.
– All vehicles must have at least 1 working headlight to signal starting line.
– Nitrous and propane injection main line must be disconnected.
– DOT approved tires for all classes excluding All-Terrain and Open-Paddle and cut tires allowed in both.
– No studded tires in any class.
CLASS RULES – All Classes
1. Must have seat belt or harness and DOT approved helmet
2. All vehicles must have at least 1 working headlight to signal starting line.
3. Nitrous and propane injection main line must be disconnected.
4. DOT approved tires for all classes excluding All-Terrain
5. No studded tires in any class

6. Radiator, batteries, and gas tanks must be securely fastened
7. Firewalls and floors are mandatory
8. All vehicles must have a safe location front and rear of the vehicle to tow from
9. All Vehicles must have front and rear bumpers without sharp edges.
10. Must have working brakes
11. Vehicles and drivers must be able to perform safely on and off the track
12. Any class decisions made by officials during the registration period are final
13. Drivers of any open compartment vehicle must wear long pants and closed toes boots
14. First place will receive 60% pay back, second will receive 30% pay back, third will receive 10% payback – additional prize money may be added based on sponsorship and number of competitors per class
All – Terrain Class
1. Open to all 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, and dirt bikes
2. No dune buggies.
3. Racers must wear closed toe boots
4. Racers must wear full length pants
5. Vehicle must have a factory appearing frame
6. Vehicles must have a factory appearing motor
7. No open frames, must have at least some factory body pieces
2 WD Class
1. All vehicles must have the engine power transferred only to one axle from start to finish of the track

2. Vehicles may be front or rear wheel drive
3. Gas and Diesel fueled vehicles are allowed
Gas Class
1. Must be a gasoline fueled vehicle
2. May have aftermarket tires and wheels
3. May have a suspension lift
4. Aftermarket tuning allowed
5. Aftermarket air intake systems allowed
6. Must have all passenger seats present in the vehicle
7. Batteries, fuel tanks, and radiators must be in the factory locations
8. No modified frames
9. No Nitrous or propane injection-main line must be disconnected
10. No tube chassis
Street Diesel Class
1. Must be licensed and insured (can be expired)
2. Car/Truck must have a motor and transmission that was a factory option for that car
3. Vehicle must appear as it did from the factory with the following exclusions
4. May have aftermarket tires and wheels
5. May have a suspension lift, but no other suspension modifications such as, but not limited to traction bars, 4 link suspension, suspension blocks, helper bags (can be present but must be deflated), etc.
6. Aftermarket air intake systems allowed
7. Aftermarket exhaust allowed
8. Aftermarket tuning allowed
9. Must have stock size injectors
10. Must have all passenger seats present in the vehicle
11. No welded or locked axles
12. No built transmissions
13. Batteries, fuel tanks, and radiators must be in the factory locations
14. Must have factory turbo, no aftermarket wheels
15. Must have a stock appearing injection pump
16. Lift pumps are allowed
17. No modified frames
18. Must have factory option axles, may be re-geared
Modified Diesel Class
1. No Nitrous or propane injection-main line must be disconnected
2. Must have dry chemical ABC fire extinguisher with gauge in cab (may share with another driver)
3. May run fuel cell but fuel lines must be isolated from the passenger compartment
4. No tube chassis
