Letter From The President

I cannot think of a more fitting theme to this year’s fair than “Country Nights and Carnival Lights!” After a hard day’s work, country nights are the time to relax and enjoy friends and family. Mix in those Carnival lights and it puts a little excitement inside you!

This year will be one of the best in a long time. We have made numerous upgrades to the grounds and changed a few things around. One of the biggest you will notice is the earthworks project that leveled off a portion of the grounds out into the parking lot! There is some new fencing and a new entry gate. These projects started just after last year’s fair ended and was a fairly large undertaking. We feel it enhances the grounds nicely and eager for you to see them!

Our Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Oak Pointe of Warrenton Assisted Living & Memory Care has returned as our presenting sponsor for the THIRD YEAR in a row! We are so appreciative of their support of the fair and Senior Day. This partnership encompasses the spirit of the fair through family tradition and country living.

Many of our moms, dads and grandparents have lived, or currently reside at Oak Pointe. There is so much history within those walls. Stories of men and women who helped to shape our community, our Nation and the legacies each of them have passed down to the next generation. Each resident has contributed to Warren County in some small way by passing along their family values. These values are the very fabric of our community. Woven strong, we see them on the fairgrounds every year in the eyes, words and confident actions of our youth. These youths carry forward their family values as they grow, and one day, they too will pass them along to their children. The family tradition continues.

A lot of hard work goes into preparing for the fair every year. We would be remiss if we did not tip our caps to all the FFA, 4H and Scout groups that commit to work days and volunteering to prep the grounds and buildings in the months leading up to the fair.

On behalf of the Fair Board and the members of the Fair Association, we wish to extend a special Thank-You to all the members of the Livestock Committee who have diligently worked alongside us to find ways to enhance the fair experience and keep the livestock barn running smoothly. A lot goes into maintaining the grounds, these men and women have rolled up their sleeves and gotten their hands dirty right alongside us. Thank you for all the efforts you  put forth to help make the Warren County Fair the best it can be!

Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers who commit their time to help during the fair. Whether you are a fireman, with the ambulance district, a police officer or sheriff’s deputy; work the gate, concession stand, or help on the grounds, it is your labor, resources and love of community that helps us put on the fair. We appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts.

To our community; Thank-You for your support year each and every year.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Fair!

Best Wishes,
Paul Owenby
